Position Summary

As a Transport Expert you will ensure outstanding delivery service by maximizing Reliability, Speed, Agility, Safety and Security for BGS international shipments while controlling costs.

A day in a life of a Transport Expert:
  • Provide support to Operational Teams as a 1st point of escalation for Transport related topics
  • Agree on service requirements with Business and establish the targets
  • Set targets for transport service and continuously keep track on KPIs to reach the targets by:
  • managing Transport providers according to Nestlé Best Practices
  • leading operational review meetings
  • solving adequately any occurring transport issue
  • Investigate new logistics opportunities and analyse their implications on Operations
  • Lead projects to constantly improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Distribution Network
  • Implement and develop tools to support operations to ensure efficiency and visibility in Transport operations
  • Continuously improve service and cost through a close collaboration with internal & external stakeholders
  • Adapt to changes in the logistics and / or market environment
  • Ensure compliance with Nestlé Corporate Business Principles and Supply Chain Policies
  • Collaborate closely with procurement teams to make sure that all aspects of the transport procurement comply with Nestlé policies

What makes you successful:
  • University Degree or equivalent with specialization in Supply Chain/Logistics
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar job within an International environment – Freight forwarding and/or shipping line experience will be highly valued
  • Relevant operational experience at market/ business level, in the following areas is beneficial: Import/Export, Warehouse Management, Customs
  • Successful experience in working/being exposed to collaborative projects/initiatives with customers, suppliers and cross-functional
  • Proven experience in strategic decision making related to transportation
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English
