Global Channel Leader Drug & Grocery - Global Customer Excellence (m/f/d)

PURPOSE

As an integral team member of the D&G channel and Global Customer Excellence team, you will play a key role in driving Tailored Customer & Channel Plans by building strategic partnerships with our key growth markets and their key drug and grocery customers. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering Global Customer Facing Category Strategies on our Derma, Allergy, Pain & Cough & Cold business by working closely with the GCBUs. You will play a pivotal role in unlocking our ambition: “To become a TOP-TIER performing manufacturer in the Consumer Health industry whom our customers want as their Partner of Choice by working in strong collaboration with our priority accounts and create best in class joint business plans that drive a Quadruple win – for Bayer, the Customer, The Category, and the Shopper” By creating and deploying tailored Strategic Customer Plans we will better serve our customers and shoppers and secure our place as a leading consumer health manufacturer.

SCOPE (Global, regional or Local)

Global scope but you will have direct ownership of GROWTH Markets: Turkey, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, and Netherlands

Key Tasks:
  • Develop a strong understanding and the requirements of the key markets and their strategic customers and how we best align customer needs with future strategic objectives of the business
  • Provide superior value through strong collaboration with our key growth markets and top accounts through strategic and tailored customer partnerships by empowering the markets with the right skills, approaches and best practices and become the customer preferred manufacturer
  • Co-develop tailored go to market solutions with the markets and the GCBU’s that maximize shopper value and help them achieve their corporate objectives and drive customer, category, and Bayer share growth.
  • Play a key role in category strategy planning process with the GCBU and Global Category Teams (GCTs) and bring in the customer and shopper perspective to generate opportunities that drive incremental growth through our current brand portfolio and future innovation
  • Lead and develop Customer Facing Global Strategies by creating clear 5-year vision, growth pillars and an omni-channel activation plan that drives our growth and presence within these categories
  • Create a Global D&G Hub by building a repository of best practice customer solutions and selling stories that can be used in regions, clusters / countries globally
  • Responsible for ensuring a category and shopper marketing guide is developed with the GCBU across all channels to ensure we provide the best practice in always on activation.
Position Requirements:
  • Must have extensive functional expertise in Sales & Category Management (both essential), Shopper Marketing or Strategic Planning / Sales Strategy is desirable
  • Advantageous to have been in a customer facing role and have managed a Top Tier Drug or Grocery account
  • 8- 10 years of CPG experience, preferably in the Consumer Health or related industry
  • Advantageous to have in market experience in markets with strong Drug & Grocery businesses
  • Relevant university degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong Leadership skills & project management experience to engage with senior management – GCBU Leads, Regional Heads, Market Leads and other members of the executive team
  • Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural environments
  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills
  • Fluent in English, additional languages advantageous
  • Strives to make a change and drive impact by challenging the status quo!!
  • NB: Frequent travel will be expected c30% of the time
