What You’ll Be Doing
  • Formulating, organizing and monitoring inter-connected projects within the Global Platinum organization
    • Work with the Global SVP to align to projects at the Worldwide level
    • Project manage the focus area initiatives – provide strategic guidance to teams and other project leads – create calls to action and drive accountability
    • Analyze & document Platinum activities
    • Work with each of the teams to make sure each milestone is met with success – drive tasks to completion
    • Work with and collaborate with other functions outside of sales to help achieve our Platinum objectives
    • Leverage existing information (eg surveys) and create specific initiatives to help address areas of concern, areas of optimization and new areas of focus
    • Document best practices and share findings – create repeatable solutions that drive efficiency across the presales organization
    • The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization
  • Working with Sales and Presales Leadership, decide on suitable strategies and objectives for the ww Platinum organization
    • Work with leadership to create best practices throughout the Global sales teams, focusing on operational efficiency, repeatable solutions and scalability of resources
    • Work with the leadership team to create and align to the Platinum VSEM for Americas, EMEA, Asia focusing on the execution of the strategy
    • Closely monitor the metrics associated with each of the activities – bring teams together when needed to add extra focus
    • Co-ordinate activities that promote internal collaboration to achieve positive results
    • Drive Solution and Vertical Insights with the CTO organization and product management
    • Driving integrated Solutions for key Verticals; coordination of resources [external and internal] to help coordinate, drive and promote complex Mode 2 solutions like Compliance
    • Gather and advocate critical Market-In Global Account requirements that can ‘make markets’ …[note: not driving PERs and that stuff, but driving big picture capabilities ‘Market-In’]
    • Support the integrated Operating Model for Globals [note: we have so many internal disconnects…hopefully the new OM fixes that but guessing there will be intervention needs]
    • Drive any GA Customer Advocacy activities and outcomes
    • Drive and create specialized GSS and CSS Global Account offerings, capabilities, add-on services
    • Working with GSIs and GA VP’s and GADs to help bridge and promote select GTM efforts
    • Work with GA VP’s to drive customized programs… these could be industry based, they might be specialized Support programs, MSS or Cloud style programs, etc
    • Work with GA VP’s to help drive unique needs of the GADs…compensation, measurement, development
Co-ordinating Global cross-project activities, within Sales & presales and across different functions
    • Drive Account planning activities with all the necessary parties and create additional opportunities, plan & help to execute
    • Drive Sales & Negotiation enablement
    • Coordinate with Marketing and Account Based marketing to drive customer success and efficiencies
    • Support Bid responses with additional insights and knowledge
    • Drive Communication & Customer Satisfaction
    • Represent and become the liaison for Sales & presales for any cross functional work that is required
    • Become the advocate and ambassador for the Global Account organization throughout Hitachi Vantara
    • Focus on specific account planning tools, resources and programs that will allow us to scale effectively and run in an efficient manner
      • Act as project lead for the GAD’s when piloting new tools/systems
      • Work with IT and SFDC team to leverage existing business collaboration tools and pilot new tools where necessary
      • Work with IT and Sales Ops to fine tune, optimize and possibly re-tool existing and new processes related to presales activities (CPD, Salesforce, etc)
      • Drive with the Commercial team additional alternative customer propositions
    • Work with other functions within Hitachi Vantara, for example HR, in helping align to or exceeding industry standards
    • Work very closely with the WW enablement team and become the sales ambassador to help prioritize and highlight specific training curriculums, certification requirements and career pathing objectives
    • Work with IT to create tools to measure and monitor the proficiencies, resourcing, specializations and general knowledge of the GAD organization
    • Provide input and monitor programs directly related to GAD’s (eg SPIFFs, Demos, etc)
    • Work with peers within the partner communities to help establish better communication between Hitachi GAD and the partner technical field resources
    • Organize sales data in a concise and efficient manner
      • Create a repository of information for the GAD organization that can be easily accessed and supports related versioning of information
      • Create a central location where the Platinum organization can find information relevant to their roles
  • General functions:
    • Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
    • Apply change, risk and resource management
    • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI
    • Prepare reports for GAD leadership when required
    • When required, be engaged and active in any escalation requests that are of high priority
    • Find areas of cost savings within GAD/CTO org to help us achieve operational efficiency and cost reduction
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Experience working in a hyper-growth environment and an appreciation of how the dynamics of growth affect corporate culture and in-place processes and systems
    • Must have strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence others
    • Extremely well organized and highly analytical
    • Very strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation and writing skills
    • Must possess excellent communication skills
    • Must have an advanced knowledge of Hitachi Vantara internal processes and functions
    • Must have a broad knowledge of Hitachi Vantara solutions and technologies
    • Must be able to leverage existing relationships within Hitachi Vantara
