Your team

This is a unique 24-month experience, where we offer you a permanent position along with a specific programme with rotations in different finance teams to build your expertise and professional skills.

Our graduate programme includes on- and off-the-job components, placing the emphasis on teamwork but also exploring your skill sets, furthering your development, and setting specific objectives. Your initial training will be complemented by a professional certification relevant to your area of business (CFA, CIIA, etc.). Our programme will also enable you to develop the interpersonal and self-leadership skills required in your future career. The programme will provide you with the opportunity as well to establish an extensive network of peers and experts within Pictet and to meet members of the senior management.

During the programme you will be part of the Group Finance team in charge of both accounting, data & reporting and Groupwide coordination and oversight. A series of rotations is planned in the Finance teams of other Group entities, including to overseas locations, to enable you to acquire complementary skills, develop first-hand knowledge and familiarise yourself with our different businesses.

Your role

As a Graduate – Group Finance, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Assist with the annual risk and control self-assessment exercise covering financial accounting and the reporting to identify, assess, challenge and consolidate operational risks; risk mitigation measures and controls; as well as gap remediation needs, applicable to all business units in the Group.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the financial accounting processes as well as the analytical model used for management accounting purposes. This knowledge will help you to strengthen the process documentation, ensuring higher standardisation and harmonisation across Group entities.
  • Contribute to the harmonisation of financial reporting across the Group with the development of documentation made available to every Group entity.

Your profile
  • Recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration from a top university.
  • Excellent analytical skills, an ownership mindset, at ease with numbers and capable of building relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • An enquiring mind with the ability to innovate, as well as a strong team player.
  • First experience in a similar role in financial services or with a top consulting or auditing firm would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of and interest in the banking/asset management industries.
  • Fluent or native speaker of English and French; a reasonable command of another language would be a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.

As the chosen applicant, you will be meticulous, principled and pragmatic, with an enquiring mind and a real sense of client service. You will also be able to show initiative and commitment in your work.

Furthermore, you will be at complete ease interacting with others and have a keen interest in putting forward concrete and practice-oriented solutions.

You will also be organised and methodical and enjoy working as part of a team as well as being adaptable and receptive to new ideas.
