Your teamCorporate Functions includes the Group’s non-banking activities and employs more than 600 people. These functions are carried out by specialists with expertise across all business units and include the Communications, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Internal Audit, Legal, Organisation & Digital, Risk and Tax departments.
The Pictet Group Graduate Programme is a unique 24-month experience where we offer you a permanent position along with a specific programme with rotations in different teams so you can further develop your expertise and professional skills.
Based on a permanent contract, our programme includes on- and off-the-job components, places emphasis on teamwork and will also allow you to explore your skill sets, further your development and set specific objectives.
Your initial training will be complemented by a professional certification relevant to your area of business (CFA, CIIA, etc.). Our programme will also enable you to develop the interpersonal and self-leadership skills required in your future career. The programme will provide you with the opportunity as well to establish an extensive network of peers and experts within Pictet and to meet members of the senior management.
Your journey will start with the Group Legal Department, where you will first join the team that provides legal advice and support for our wealth management division (known as Pictet Wealth Management). This will be followed by rotation in the legal teams for asset services (Pictet Asset Services), trading (Pictet Trading and Sales) and technology and operations (Tech&Ops).
Your role
As well as being part of the Pictet Group Graduate Programme, you will take on the following responsibilities:
- Assisting the management with numerous projects that Wealth Management Legal is involved in (e.g. processing account opening documents, bank forms and service mandates as well as handling credit, inheritance and life insurance matters);
- Contributing to and drafting of legal analyses/memoranda;
- Contributing to the implementation of new legal and regulatory requirements.
- Master’s degree in Law and admission to the Swiss Bar.
- Between six months’ and two years’ experience after graduation with a financial institution or law firm specialised in the banking sector.
- Substantial involvement in extracurricular activities contributing to specific projects (academic, humanitarian, etc.) would be an asset.
- International exposure, either in a work-related, academic or personal context.
- Strong interest in the banking sector.
- Proactive, able to work efficiently and eager to learn.
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
- Strong service orientation, ability to distil information easily and excellent analytical skills.
- Highly motivated and interested in continuous development.
- Fluent in English and French, with excellent writing skills. German would be an asset.
- Must be resident in Switzerland.
