Your teamYour programmeThis 24-month programme, which comes with a permanent contract, includes on- and off-the-job training components, placing the emphasis not only on teamwork, but also on exploring each individual’s skillset, accelerating personal development, and setting specific improvement objectives.As a member of our Graduate Programme, you will develop your business know-how by working alongside accomplished professionals. Your initial training will be complemented by a professional certification relevant to your area of business (e.g. CFA, CAIA, CIIA). It will also provide you with the opportunity to establish an extensive network of peers and experts within Pictet and to meet with members of the senior management.Your teamThe Pictet Investment Office, which is part of Pictet Wealth Management (PWM) division, is an investment team based in Geneva, dedicated to large, entrepreneurial wealth owners who have a long-term investment horizon, limited liquidity constraints, and a high tolerance for short-term drawdowns. The team is comprised of highly experienced investment professionals, from portfolio managers to analysts, who base their decisions on fundamental bottom-up analysis, and typically make a large allocation to private assets. The Pictet Investment Office focuses on four key strategies, which form the pillars of its clients’ asset allocation, namely Core Equities, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and Credit Opportunities. The team’s unique set-up enables investment professionals to readily share key information, knowledge, and expertise as they invest across the capital structure.Your roleThe successful candidate will assist private equity investment professionals in the analysis and monitoring of investment opportunities and closely contribute to the team’s client reporting activity.The Graduate’s main tasks will include:
  • Contributing to the team’s client reporting activity, including conducting performance analysis, notably on Private Assets;
  • Enhancing data quality and developing financial modeling tools;
  • Monitoring private equity funds, co-investments, and direct investments;
  • Participating in the investment due diligence process of selected private equity investment opportunities, including building financial models, performing market analysis, and developing investment briefings;
  • Collaborating with the middle-office to improve operational processes and IT efficiency.
The programme also includes various rotations, intended to allow the successful applicant to hone the skills required to be successful in her/his future role. These rotation also provide the opportunity to discover other teams that make up PWM Investment Platform, other departments of PWM, or other Lines of Business within the Pictet Group. During the Graduate Programme you will develop strong analytical and investment skills, you will work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, and will ultimately forge a solid network across PWM and the wider Pictet Group.Your profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management from a top business school or an equivalent.
  • Between six months’ and two years’ work experience in a similar role, ideally in private equity, strategy consulting, or corporate finance (internships and temporary roles are also taken into account).
  • Excellent analytical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, ease with numbers, and passionate about the finance industry.
  • Highly skilled user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). A knowledge of additional financial toolsets and programming skills are also a must (e.g. Bloomberg, Python, VBA).
  • Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills.
  • Results-oriented, committed and driven to succeed in a challenging and stimulating working environment.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • International exposure, either in a work-related, academic, or personal context is a plus.
  • Must be resident in Switzerland with a valid work permit.
