The position
We are looking for a “Hardware Digital Development Engineer” to strengthen our development team and support upcoming FPGA design for new generation of protection and condition monitoring systems of rotating machinery. You will work on projects using state of the art SOC with a modular architecture vision to enable efficient and quick product development that will fit closely our customers’ needs.
The Main Responsibilities For This Role Are
- Specify & design the electrical assembly/sub-assembly (or FPGA), and ensure that it fully covers the initial expressed needs (e.g. system for electrical assembly or assembly specification for FPGA).
- Develop or support the development of any test tooling that are required Handle or drive the validation tests (or simulation)
- Generate all development artefacts of the designed assembly/sub-assembly/FPGA expected along the development up to manufacturing stage
- Support the product management in defining the relevant product, with associated costs (whether RC or NRCs) and support any analysis or actions, related to in-service failure on already developed products, including production.
- Support any analysis related to obsolescence or supply chain issues and support any request aimed at sustaining company certification (e.g. Audit)
- Sustain and propose improvement on hardware development methodologies and toolings
- Propose new technologies that could fit business needs, with relevant assessment.
- Degree (Bachelor or Master) in electrical engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years in IP design and verification, using advanced methodologies (e.g. Python and TCL for script entry, UVM, System Verilog, VDHL, Verilog), preferably in an industrial environment for digital electronics using processor or DSP
- Deep knowledge in FPGA SOC design and verification, including associated development tools (e.g. Questa).
- Familiar with advanced methodologies in FPGA development: Python, UVM, System Verilog.
- Knowledge of digital electronics using microprocessor, DSPs, including usual peripherals (e.g. DDR, FLASH, etc.) & of industrial development process (knowledge in Agile method), such as IEC-61508.
- English level B1 (European classification) at minimum
- Autonomous while enjoying working as part of a team
- Curious, out-of-the-box thinking and very good communication skills
