Head of Brand Management (80-100%)

In November 2020, ABB announced the planned divestment of its Turbocharging Division. Turbocharging is a successful and profitable Division in a mature market and has been for long a highly self-reliant business within ABB. ABB has decided to take this step, acknowledging that for Turbocharging to realize its full potential going forward, a new setup is required. As the next step, alternative ownership options, including a spin-off to the Swiss stock market, will be assessed, considering value for customers, ABB and the future of the turbocharging business. In this role you position the Turbocharging brand prominently. You are our brand advocate and plan and execute global campaigns with the goal of growing the brand awareness and share of voice through both organic and paid channels. The Head of Brand Management reports to the Head of Communications. Are you looking for a new challenge with the possibility to build-up a new organization from scratch? Your responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global brand positioning strategy, delivering against company vision and business goals
  • Develop and implement plans, policies, standards, materials and content to increase awareness and engagement of the company’s target markets with the Turbocharging brand
  • Cultivate strong collaborative relationships and inspire key local and global stakeholders as well as external agency partners to drive high-quality output
  • Masterfully communicate up/down/across the organization to ensure transparency, alignment and advocacy of brand strategy
  • Implement new band and manage corporate design control and governance, ensuring the global brand is properly and consistently applied across the whole organization and all channels, especially facilities, events, campaigns and collaterals
  • Development of offline and online campaigns
  • Apply rigorous controls to budget, ensure transparency and maximize effectiveness and efficiency
  • Appoint, brief and manage supplier relationships, agree managed spend, budgeting and cost control.
  • Collaborate with others in Communications function to ensure communications excellence and consistency between messages and across all communications media
  • Continuously improve the functional excellence of own area. Implements processes for measuring effectiveness and addresses any identified gaps in content, process or resources.

Your background

  • Degree in Marketing and Communications and / or design
  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in marketing or communications or branding governance
  • Deep domain knowledge, proven expertise and experience in managing partnerships
  • Ability to mix strategic and creative strengths to deliver impactful programs and campaigns
  • Sound project management skills to implement organization-wide projects and initiatives
  • Crafting and delivering compelling stories that are relevant and create high level of customers engagement
  • Worked with international agencies to deliver projects across geographies in branding and events
  • Strong business partnering, collaboration and communication skills, with experience of managing internal and external
  • relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Reliable person with a strong commitment to speed and quality
  • Highly efficient organizer and result orientated
  • Team player, ability to work under pressure
