To support our growth and expand our footprint in Switzerland, Open Web Technology will open a new office in Basel. This is why Open Web Technology has an immediate opening as Head of Developmentbased in Baselwith significant experience in digital services and new technologies and at least 5 years of experience in a similar leading position. This position will report directly to the Market Lead in Basel.

Working closely with our Clients, Partners, Managers, Architects and Technical Team Leaders, the Head of Development will help to build a new development team and will take overall responsibility of the development projects which are delivered out of the Basel office.

Roles & Responsabilities
  • Support our Clients in the definition and the roll-out of complex digital projects and IT solutions
  • Act as an inspiring leader and coach to the local development team, supporting our aspiring colleagues in their professional and personal development
  • Act as a single point of contact for all local development related topics and issues
  • Support the consulting and sales team i.e. in quotes-, customers meetings and workshops
  • Participate hands-on and actively in client projects, designing the overall solution and ensuring high quality client deliverables
  • Inspire and creatively contribute to our company consulting practice evolution to adopt new technology trends

Requirements

Technical Knowledge & Skills
  • A Master’s degree in Technology or Engineering
  • A demonstrated management track-record either in a large, well established development firm or in a fast-growing technology firm
  • 10 years of development experience with Java .Net framework
  • Successful achievements to steer complex programs and deliveries (multi-stakeholder)
  • Strong technical and analytics skills
  • Fluency in German and English, French a plus
  • Capacity to travel in Switzerland and potentially in Europe

  • Digital enthusiast with a keen interest in business and strategy
  • Understanding of business challenges, digital business models and business processes
  • Eager to learn and master new technologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at different levels within the organization
