The role is part of the Group Finance organization and will lead a team responsible for financial processes, controls, historical reporting analysis, planning and budgeting activities, and ultimately business partnering with the Richemont Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the related Group Technology ExCo members and organization.

Reporting

The position reports to the Group FP&A Finance Director, based in Bellevue. The role has a dotted line to and day to day partnership with the Group CIO. The role is part of the Group Technology ExCo under the leadership of the Group CIO. The role is based in the Meyrin campus, together with the Group Technology team.

Mission

In line with the Group’s vision and strategy, as the Head of Finance Group Technology, you will be a member of the dedicated Technology Leadership Team, providing strategic financial insights, financial acumen, analytical mindset and financial leadership to the CIO and the rest of the Technology Leadership team.

This will include developing coherent and logical financial planning, monitoring and evaluating the Group’s Product and Technology Roadmaps, providing robust financial support tools to your key stakeholders and detailed analyses to assist the Group and Technology leadership teams evaluate and prioritize potential initiatives within a financial / risk-based framework.

You will lead a lean financial team embedded within Group Technology whose key role is to provide strong finance business partnering to the various product teams as well as the overall leadership team.

Communication and stakeholder management are additional key aspects of this role: you will be required to communicate clearly and effectively with Finance, Technology and various business unit senior leaders. You will be the spokesperson for Group Technology during financially focused presentations – including actual results review, forecasting processes, project evaluation and portfolio status reporting – to various levels of Group senior management.

Detailed Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities are:
  • Establish a strong and trustful business partnership with the Group CIO, Group Technology ExCo members and other relevant Group senior leaders to manage and conduct complex analysis in relation to strategic technology initiatives and projects, providing strategic finance insights and recommendation to the Technology Leadership team
  • Gain expert financial knowledge of the existing Product and Technology roadmaps and guide financial decision making in line with the Group’s Product and Technology forward-looking strategy.
  • Linked to the point immediately above, develop and implement financial analysis and detailed methodologies within the Technology team, including financial tools / KPI dashboards to objectively evaluate future and monitor ongoing projects within the Product and Technology programs
  • Team management and development, including budget ownership and resource allocation.
  • Regularly monitor and manage a portfolio of multiple high-visibility initiatives/projects, with specific responsibility for financial forecasting, modelling, and reporting key outcomes.
  • Work with cross-functional technology teams and their respective finance leaders to establish, wherever possible, common goals, set milestones, measure progresses and improvements of processes.
  • Liaise with the Central accounting team, who provide accounting services to Group Technology, to ensure that actual financial reporting is fairly stated and deadlines are met
  • Critically review business technology proposals from an operational and finance point of view, applying financial acumen and identifying / evaluating potential risks and opportunities to be addressed, communicating these clearly with the Technology Leadership Team.

Profile

  • 12+ years of proven experience in financial analysis, business controlling, budgeting, financial planning and modelling including robust experience with IT / Digital Technologies departments.
  • A Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance or related fields.
  • Strong experience in partnering with business leaders - ideally in a technology company, or a technology driven company/department - to develop strategic initiatives for growth and cost efficiency with a sense of confidentiality and appropriate communication of information.
  • Financial leadership experience of a technology project management office is desired
  • Ability, as recognized financial leader, to take an active part in achieving common objectives through proactive personal engagement and effective team management.
  • Excellent analytical skills to back up KPIs, assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Strengths in process re-engineering/optimisation and at ease with working in a complex and multi-stakeholders matrix environment.
  • Strong abilities in problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Keen sense of priorities to ensure efficient management of projects, deadlines and deliverables. Proven experience of business partnering and financial leadership of a complex organisation delivering multi-year programmes.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools and project planning methodology.
  • Excellent SAP Finance, MS Office and business intelligence capabilities associated with reporting and SQL coding background in most used tools (e.g. Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud and/or Looker). Experience with one programming language is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
