About the role
:

This role is part of the Site Leadership Team. The position participates to reach our goal of manufacturing large-scale molecule to serve our rare disease Patients in Takeda, a patient-focused, values-based, R&D-driven global biopharmaceutical company committed to bringing Better Health and a Brighter Future to people worldwide.

The Site Supply Chain Head will be responsible for Supply Chain operations for the site.

The organizational structure at the site will be based on self-directed work teams where decisions will be made at the level where the data exists.

The Site Supply Chain Head will work across the site to identify and resolve issues to allow the site to achieve its Governance Pillars in EHS, Quality, Value, People, and Delivery.

The scope of supply chain operations includes direct and indirect material planning and purchasing, warehouse operations, drug substance inventory management, and site supply planning and scheduling processes. As a member of the Site Leadership Team, the Site Supply Chain Head, will drive site performance in line with the vision and strategic roadmap for the site.

This role is critical role on the site leadership team to create value for our patients.

Delivery:

  • Support development and regular update of the site capacity evaluations to identify projects and initiatives that support site ramp up and sustainability.

  • Utilize continuous improvement tools, lean and six sigma methodology to identify improvement opportunities, perform technical troubleshooting and successfully implement solutions.

  • Support the implementation of site strategy and business unit strategy by identifying appropriate initiatives for applicable improvements to the value stream. In some instances support corporate initiatives and projects.

  • Identify the appropriate business drivers for each initiative, draft proposals and seek appropriate governance approvals.

  • Lead approved projects and continuous improvement initiatives that are in alignment with the site strategies.

  • Support detailed project planning including but not limited to schedule and resources and successfully execute cross functional projects.

  • Prepare timely project reports and communicate effectively with all stakeholders including reporting any potential project delays timely and providing mitigation plans to ensure on-time execution.

What you bring to Takeda
:
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration or related Discipline. A Master’s degree is desirable.

  • Proven leader capability in developing people and teams with at least 7 years’ experience in the supply chain area.

  • People Management experience is a must. You demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively lead and support team members. You implement proactive strategies for conflict resolution and employee development. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through effective communication and collaboration.

  • A proven record of accomplishments of working in a Pharma/Biopharma company or related industry is desirable.

  • Proven ability around working cross-functionally, focusing on meeting and tracking to schedules and embracing an interdependent work culture.

  • Experience working in a GMP/regulated environment is desirable.

  • Organization Skills – Ability to manage multiple priorities and know when to escalate issues for resolution.

  • Expert knowledge of developing and improving site planning systems.

  • Expert user of ERP systems in a manufacturing location.

  • Lead approved projects and continuous improvement initiatives that are in alignment with the site strategies.

  • Support detailed project planning including but not limited to schedule and resources and successfully execute cross-functional projects.

  • Prepare timely project reports and communicate effectively with all stakeholders including reporting any potential project delays timely and providing mitigation plans to ensure on-time execution.

  • Takeda’s decision-making model of Patient, Trust, Reputation and Business.

  • Native in French and fluent in English

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • ERP proficient ( such as SAP).

  • Knowledge of current warehouse technologies.
