HR Business Partner

The HR Business Partner originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and ongoing development of a superior workforce. He is responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization’s business goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coach, support, mentor and challenge managers and employees in the application of HR policies and practices, provides advice and guidance on complex HR issues to minimize risk and financial exposure
  • Act as a true Business Partner to bring added value to the business in understand business needs and link them to tailored HR solutions
  • Manage HR projects, covering multi-disciplinary areas, including compensation and benefits, performance management, people management, employee relations and change management
  • Participate in setting and executing against the strategic direction of the business
  • Liaise with senior management to understand business requirements and tailor specific solutions
  • Work across the HR function and business, seeks to ensure interventions are integrated in a consistent way that supports organizational objectives
  • Drive and support the development and delivery of cultural change
  • Acting as primary point of contact for HR policy issues
  • Operate as contact person for internal center of excellences
  • Working in close collaboration with the HR Director and supporting this function in various projects

Qualifications

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an HR Business Partner
  • Business proficiency in English
  • German is highly advantageous, and any additional languages will be considered a further advantage
  • Pharmaceutical/ medical devices/ life sciences industry experience would be an advantage
  • Expert knowledge of Swiss labor law
  • Experience in coaching senior leaders
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Experience working in a complex matrix environment would be an advantage

  • High level of flexibility with positive attitude towards change
  • Ability to work both at a strategic level with business leaders, and at a maintenance level to ensure basic systems / policies in place and compliant
  • Strong ability to set priorities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to make high-quality decisions
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration focus
