Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file all VAT/indirect tax returns of EMEA and other markets where the business operates
  • Work with external tax representatives in appointed jurisdiction;
  • Work with the 3PL tax representative in the Netherlands and overview the preparation of the VAT Return in NL;
  • Accountable for all month end VAT processes and TB reconciliations are executed in a timely basis;
  • Ensure compliance with VAT legislation in different jurisdiction and reduce risk of any potential non-compliant VAT issues;
  • Reconcile the monthly indirect tax provision for various entities;
  • Maintain an organized standard filing system of all reviewed VAT return submissions and official communications from the various VAT authorities in Europe;
  • Liaise with the various VAT authorities on routine inquiries;
  • Prepare all necessary documents and assist in the completion of any VAT audits;
  • Support in responding to specific VAT queries within the company internally;
  • Investigate specific cases to ensure legally correct VAT treatment
  • Assisting in completing UAT in system customizations
  • Keep general overview and research of VAT developments and changes in Europe and identifying any potential risks;
  • Work closely with the tax team in HQ in assisting their day to day queries
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, And Designations
  • Professional Accounting and/or Tax Designation, chartered certified Accountants;
  • 2-3 years’ experience in indirect tax and accounting;
  • Experienced in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
  • Must have mid-large ERP system experience – Microsoft Dynamics AX/NAV or D365;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Fluent in English and other EU languages beneficial.
