LIGENTEC designs and manufactures Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) for customers in high-tech areas such as Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space Technologies and Biosensors. Our All-Nitride Technology enables our customers to achieve unmatched performance to disrupt their markets.

To build our team in our newly opened Paris site, we are looking for a:

Characterization Engineer in Integrated Photonics

Tasks

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Characterization of Photonic Integrated Circuits
• Push the limits of PIC characterization, development of test methods and procedures for highly demaning specifications
• Data analysis and reporting
• Continued performance improvement of the setup, data analysis scripts and measurement procedures
• Support design/layout engineers for designing for testability
  

Requirements

Your profile:

• MSc or PhD in photonics, physics, electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years hands on experience with fibers and optical test equipment
• Multiple years hands on experience in an optical lab
• Open minded, communicative, critical and innovative
• Working proficiencies in English
• Work/residence permit for Switzerland or Swiss/EU citizenship
