OverviewAs an Accounting Intern at Semtech, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of financial management and accounting practices. This internship is designed to provide you with exposure to real-world accounting processes, enhance your technical skills, and contribute to your professional development in the field.Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the accounting team in daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to reconcile financial discrepancies and assist in resolving any issues.
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining records of expenses, receipts, and invoices.
  • Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and systems.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as German or French are a plus. Eligibility to work in Switzerland for the duration of the internship.
