Start date is flexible to the student’s availability, duration for 6 months plus.

Global IT within Hilti is a truly global team with main hubs in Buchs SG (Switzerland) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). All locations have highly competent teams who work very closely together. Hilti`s Global IT team is known for their focus on sustainable value creation by translating latest IT innovations into value creating solutions & services.

What does the role involve?

As intern in our department, you’ll be part of building the digital backbone of Hilti’s new Engineering-to-Order business. You’ll work closely with our experts to develop the next level of our IT solutions and actively shape the future.

Your key responsibilities will be supporting one of the 5 streams (Sales, Legal & Sourcing, Engineering, Project Management & Finance, Fulfillment) or the overall program. Building the SAP based backend as well as other digital solutions and processes will be your main task. It is the best way to get business and IT knowledge at the same time and a great opportunity to enter Hilti in one of the fastest growing areas.

Out IT team works in in close collaboration with its business stakeholders and each area is driving and supporting each other for a genuine successful outcome. You will have the opportunity to learn our processes, be part of a project and contribute to the overall success of it, drive improvements and get experience in the exciting finance world. What you need is:

• Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s program in technical, engineering and/or marketing studies for the whole internship period
• Good knowledge of IT and any of these areas - Sales, Legal & Sourcing, Engineering, Project Management & Finance, Fulfillment (Logistics and Manufacturing)
• Familiar with an independent work style and ready to take responsibility in own area of competence
• Good communication skills in English, German is a plus
• Willingness to work in a fast moving international environment that requires entrepreneurial mindset
