The Opportunity
As an Auditor in the EMEA Chapter, your will be responsible for conducting and managing key audit tasks for the audits focused on audits focused on IFRS accounting and reporting risks across the Swiss Re Group. In this role, you will be challenged to learn new areas of Swiss Re, to assess the effectiveness of the relevant processes and controls, apply critical thinking, contribute to the successful audit report and help create business insights. This role is an opportunity to deal with themes that have an organizational impact and driving the risk culture of Swiss Re.


How can you make an impact?

  • Your responsibilities include owning audit tasks and their delivery within an agile audit team, such as developing the detailed audit scope and creating testing plans.
  • You will assess business processes and controls for their design and operating effectiveness, deliver quality audit issues, impactful audit reports, and compelling business insights to Senior Management and stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the development of data analytics to assess control related outcomes and define data hypotheses to test data.
  • Participating in global, regional, and local audits positively impacting EMEA and other GIA (Group Internal Audit) Chapters.
  • Using your areas of expertise to contribute effectively to GIA’s audit plan.
  • Coaching members of the team on individual subject matter themes.
  • Participating in Agile methodology ceremonies within the Chapter to promote continuous learning and forward-looking assurance.
  • Participating in GIA’s critical initiatives and projects as opportunities arise.

Who are we looking for?

You are curious, think creatively and critically, generate innovative ideas, and deliver effectively with what can often be ambiguous requirements!

In addition, you are passionate about innovation and transformation including but not limited to data analytics.



Furthermore:
  • At least 3 years of work experience relating to Finance, Accounting & Reporting.
  • Strong knowledge and experience about IFRS (preferred).
  • Audit or compliance function experience preferred (Governance, Risk Management or Compliance).
  • Clear and effective communication at all levels of Management.
  • Ability to appreciate the big picture as well as the details and focused on results.
  • Team player, able to support the team in reaching goals and milestones.
  • Qualified or working towards a CPA, CA, CIA professional certification or having passed several actuarial exams (preferred).
  • University degree (Actuarial Science or Finance and Accounting preferred)
