About the Role
International Program Managers (IRS – SF) provide comprehensive services to the Producing Office Underwriter (UW), Underwriter Assistant (UA) and Broker in setting up and running International Insurance Programs. International Program Manager will drive the entire life cycle of the program, working closely with the regional servicing teams and the Network Partner Coordinators to ensure the speedy and accurate delivery of the entire program, while ensuring adherence to all applicable market regulations and practices. This is a fundamental role within the International Business team acting as a key coordinator and facilitator of International Insurance Program business.
International Program Manager is responsible for:
Coordination, control of program delivery, compliance and the support of International Insurance Programs
Driving quality, consistency and outstanding service delivery in the provision of International Insurance Programs written by Swiss Re Corporate Solutions
Ensuring data quality and timely processing and data maintenance within the company’s system landscape applicable to International Programs, end to end
Implementation of, and strong adherence to, globally consistent service levels
Ensuring the performance monitoring of the agreed service levels are kept within agreed tolerances, taking the actions where required
Supporting the wider International Insurance Programs team in order to deliver a globally consistent international business proposition
Acting as referral point for both UW and UA’s particularly on complex deals, supporting the structuring of such programs and ensuring compliant solutions
Provide market facing support and capability to the UW in Client Management and Broker facing presentations
Key responsibilities also include:
Coordinating the service delivery for complex International Insurance Programs, identifying and resolving any issues and updating clients on progress
Supporting the negotiation of International Insurance Programs for Structured Fronting cases to ensure realistic achievable service commitments
Support Producing UW in structuring International Insurance Programs to ensure compliance with local regulations, laws and market practices
Support in the construction of premium allocations including the application of appropriate taxes
Liaise and collaborate with Global Network Management to monitor and address Network Partners’ service performance and compliance aspects in alignment with Swiss Re Corporate Solution’s International Program Strategy and Network Partner Value Proposition
Monitor and report on operational program performance (end to end) and addressing issues to ensure client delivery on an immediate and longer-term basis
Support the UW function with marketing to brokers and clients
Collaborate closely with International Financial Management to understand cash positions
Support continuous improvement projects as a Subject Matter Expert and pro-actively contribute in the transformation towards the company’s Agile business operating model
Participate in capability build activities to develop fit for purpose processes for handling complex programs
About the Team
The International Program Management team is part of the International Program Operations team and handles the relationship between Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (SRCS) and the Network Partners. We work closely with many SRCS teams and Network Partners around the globe to win and service International Insurance Programs for Global Corporate Clients. SRCS is extending its International Insurance Program offering further by offering Structured Fronting programs for large clients who have a preference to retain significant risk themselves. These programs require tailored, high class service to satisfy our commitments. The servicing requirements must be negotiated and agreed in a careful manner, and progress is to be supervised carefully to address any potential shortcomings and provide transparency to the clients.
About You
At least 5 years of experience, working within International Insurance Program business, structuring international business deals and crafting complex cross-border insurance solution
At least 5 years of regular interaction with clients
University degree or equivalent
Prior significant experience with complex Structured Fronting deals is a must
Experience in a Technical/Product Underwriting, or Operations function
Proficient in English, other languages are an asset
Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Ability to balance multiple priorities, work independently, think laterally and deliver high-quality products
Willingness to work in a global team
Goal-orientation and application to continuous learning
Good understanding of IT related best practices and processes, as well as agile methodologies, is an asset
