Job Summary

As part of the European Investment Marketing team you will be responsible for ensuring more investors find success with Vanguard’s world-class investment management capabilities and products. Your role will be to ensure products and capabilities are clearly described, well positioned and adequately supported throughout the sales funnel, and across market cycles and distribution channels. In this function, you will be a key driver of implementing marketing initiatives to deliver against the overarching European B2B strategy.

Core Responsibilities

As an Investment Marketing Manager; you will:

  • Lead the ETF and Index content pod as product owner for Europe, driving strategy and roadmap in very close collaboration with marketing, distribution and product management stakeholders.
  • Work in an agile way to ensure that Indexing and ETF content and activity is prioritized, scheduled and executed according to the agreed roadmap and timelines.
  • Independently initiate and/or lead investment marketing programs, initiatives or research projects to improve the positioning and uptake of your designated products.
  • Work with editorial, digital and production teams to build prioritised marketing documents, insights, sales materials, communications and digital journeys to ensure products are supported throughout the sales funnel in both face-to-face and online channels.
  • Support accurate and timely quarterly reporting of performance and commentary for your product area, as well as managing other periodic updates.
  • Support PRD with the launch of new products including clear positioning,key take-to-market collateral, announcements, and training materials.
  • Create materials to educate crew and clients on the features, benefits, and associated messaging for all products and ensure these are consistently applied across all client segments.
  • Closely work with the channel marketing, product and distribution functions to ensure that product materials and insights are aligned to channel campaigns and used effectively based on Seismic and web data.
  • Ensure regular communication with all key stakeholders and management to ensure all are aligned around priorities, deliverables, deadlines and key results.
  • Manage legal, compliance and subject matter expert signoffs to ensure materials are compliant and appropriate.
  • Own budget for the respective category.

What it takes:

  • Proven related work experience in asset management or financial services.
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent experience required.
  • An ideal candidate will have experience in project management, strategic product positioning and communication with strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience of index funds & ETFs required
  • Experience in delivering cross-departmental and interdisciplinary projects with strong project management skills.
  • Very strong interpersonal communication skills (assertive, consensus building). Ability to persuade and influence stakeholders to achieve a coordinated process with optimal outcomes and be able to steer and drive the strategic roadmap
  • Feeling comfortable in navigating within a matrix organization, exposure to senior management and presenting in front of senior audience.
  • Experience with financial advisor and wholesale investment professionals an advantage.
  • Experience in event management is an advantage.
  • Experience in NWoW and agile working tools and methods a plus.
  • German or Italian language an advantage but not mandatory.

  • This is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the office location Tuesday-Thursday.
