Your teamPictet Wealth Management combines more than 200 years of Swiss banking heritage with global investment expertise. The Partner-owned financial service group offers a comprehensive service for wealthy individuals and families including discretionary and advisory investment solutions and family office services.You will build an ‘investment partnership’ with CRMS to deliver clients a unique investment experience aligned to their needs and geographical specificities. You will also assist CRMs in their business development efforts by identifying and presenting the most suitable investment solutions available (PWM, PAM and PAA). Moreover, you will activate non-managed accounts and oversee non-centralised discretionary mandates while seeking to reduce operational risk.Your role
  • Communicating the investment platform’s strategy and solutions to CRMs, clients and prospects.
  • Helping determine clients’ needs, identify and develop new opportunities in partnership with CRM’s, prepare investment/advisory proposals and portfolio reviews and help to convert prospects to clients.
  • Developing, sell and retain discretionary mandates and seek to centralise their management. For non-centralised discretionary mandates seek to achieve portfolio performance that meets mandated client requirements and the Bank’s guidelines while minimising operational risk.
  • Overseeing advisory-type’ mandates, seeking to streamline positions and exposure and ensure they remain consistent with the bank’s overall investment strategy and policy.
  • Create and develop investment ideas across different asset classes based on Pictet’s asset universe.
  • Supporting the team head overall on various investment related tasks.
These entail:
  • A full understanding of Pictet’s offering, policies and guidelines, attending relevant investment forums and presentations.
  • An ability to present and defend the investment philosophy and mandate/product offering.
  • Regular reviews of portfolios to monitor adherence to risk controls, compliance and client constraints.
  • Executing and managing trade orders.
  • Investing of cash positions, manage, execute and review client transactions.
  • A full understanding and attribution of own advisory/managed portfolio’s portfolio performance.
  • Developing appropriate marketing material for client communication.
  • Knowledge of all available marketing documents and key resources within the Group.
Your profile
  • Bachelor’s degree and a post-graduate degree such as a Master’s degree, MBA, CIIA or CFA would be an advantage.
  • At least ten years’ investment advisory/management experience; client-facing experience is a pre-requisite.
  • Ideally cross asset class experience with a bias towards holistic asset allocation including private assets, additional knowledge in derivatives and structured products would be an additional asset.
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent technical knowledge across asset classes, investment vehicles and mandate/product offering.
  • Excellent understanding of portfolio construction, investment processes and risk management approaches.
  • IT-proficient, including knowledge of relevant software packages, on-line information systems, front-end management and order-placing systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Bloomberg, Avaloq, Profolio, Prime, Pcube, Sylvan, etc.).
  • Strong client-focused attitude and used to work under pressure.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proven team player but also able to work on one’s own.
  • The successful candidate will be required to reside in Switzerland.
