Job Description & Summary

Our Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services (“CMAAS”) team advises clients on complex accounting and reporting issues in the context of exceptional changes, typically relating to capital markets transactions / IPOs, deals, new IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER standards and guidance, evolving ESG / sustainability regulations and other non-financial topics, by leveraging and developing our digital reporting solutions.

We are expanding our highly diverse CMAAS team and are looking for experienced reporting and finance professionals.

Your tasks

  • You’ll work as part of a team of solvers with extensive transaction, deal, accounting, ESG reporting and digital experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.
  • You will support the CMAAS team executing and delivering on structuring and transaction projects, including carve-outs / spin-offs, business combinations, IPOs, private placements, and debt offerings based on a strong understanding of the capital markets and related listing / registration processes.
  • You will tackle client needs with a solution-oriented approach that creatively addresses complex financial and non-financial reporting considerations and provide hands-on support and operational advice including new digital solutions to clients, ranging from local start-up businesses to some of the largest international listed groups.
  • You advise on evolving ESG reporting standards and support clients upon implementation.
  • You will be involved in providing technical accounting and reporting advice to our clients.
  • You develop new and extend existing relationships with our clients.
  • You develop new skills by benefiting from upskilling trainings on the latest and upcoming relevant reporting topics, with a focus on ESG / sustainability.
  • You are in the driver seat of your own area of responsibility and development thanks to our hybrid flexible work environment.
  • you will get coached and work closely with our more senior CMAAS professionals on complex accounting and reporting matters related to deals and other transformational events.

Your profile

  • You have a degree (bachelor / master / diploma) in business, science, engineering or digital discipline (or will graduate within the next 24 months).
  • You are fluent in English, German or French are a plus.
  • You have good knowledge of accounting (e.g. IFRS; specific IFRS 9/17 knowledge is an asset) or ESG reporting standards with an appetite to learn and grow further.
  • You 1-3 years of experience in financial accounting and / or reporting (or similar role).
  • You are able to deliver under pressure and you have good organizational skills.
  • You are very client-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • You are curious and enthusiastic about working in a highly international and diverse team, while having a strong anchor in our local market, which you are eager to further develop.
  • You have an entrepreneur mindset and are willing to drive your career together with your coach towards new opportunities.
