IT Support Specialist*

We are looking for a qualified, motivated and committed candidate to complement our Business Technology & Innovation team in providing the IT support and coordinating dnata’s IT infrastructure and associated services. The IT support specialist will use his technology skills and business thinking to assess and manage the current infrastructure assets and services, recommend and implement solutions and contribute to a continuous efficiency of dnata’s day-to-day business. The position is located at Zurich airport.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide assistance and maintenance to all computer systems, applications, infrastructure and hardware

• Ensure availability of IT services to guarantee mission-readiness for our operational units

• Provide 1st and 2nd level support for the IT infrastructure and applications for ZRH Operation and act as a back-up for GVA Operation

• Troubleshooting, analysing and evaluating technology issues. Effectively manage all issues and tickets reported via IT Helpdesk channels and timely resolves IT Issues reported in ZRH Operations, including remote and in-person support

• Maintain Windows server environment including anti-virus, patching and monitoring

• Manage the IT Inventory for ZRH Operation including effective device management strategy

• Actively manage IT needs for new employees, including user profiles, e-mails, software installation and access rights

• Installing and configuring new technology to be used by the company, such as hardware, operating systems, and programs or applications

• Actively engage in creating documentation related to IT processes, projects and lessons learned

• Ongoing support for the IT infrastructure, servers and application projects including updates, upgrades, migrations and outages

• Ensure an effective delivery of the vendor support agreements and escalations

• Regular maintenance to existing hardware and computer systems, running security checks on all systems and networks, including electrical safety tests

• Collaborate with the Business Technology & Innovation team and provide expertise on virtualization, storage, backup, networking and directory services

• Evaluate new technologies to be used as replacements, enhancements or upgrades to existing server, network and other IT infrastructure equipment

• Works closely with the Business Technology & Innovation team, internal and external stakeholders for any projects relating to the IT infrastructure at Geneva and Zurich airport

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar in Computer Science, Engineering or other comparable field

• Must have strong communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken.

French is an advantage

• Work experiences of a minimum of 2 years in small- and medium-sized businesses

• Experience in managing system upgrades, O365, Microsoft Active Directory design and administration

• Good understanding of firewall rule implementation and maintenance

• Knowledge and experience with cloud solutions like Microsoft Azure and cloud methodologies

• Ability to develop strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

• Demonstrated project management skills and in-depth ERP (ideally SAP) knowledge will be an additional asset
