We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry Level IT Technician to operate our Adliswil Secondary Campus IT Help Desk (in-person), supporting teachers and students with the use of laptops, Smartboards, phones and related applications.
Job Description
  • Provide just-in-time end user support for application use, device hardware, smartboards, printers, connectivity, user access, and audio-visual set-ups, at the Secondary Campus.
  • Maintain hardware including laptops, smartboards, iMacs, printers e.g. cleaning, cabling, labelling, updating etc
  • Maintain the machine inventory and prepare client machines for specialised needs e.g. student external tests.
  • Communicate with external support providers in relation to hardware repairs e.g. ESAG, Canon, Supravision
  • Plan for end of year rollover processes and processes between school years and coordinate deployment of client image.
  • Plan for, and welcome new students and staff with prepared equipment, and ensure they have access to relevant applications and services.
  • Plan with administrative support services weekly needs in terms of IT supported events e.g. assemblies, guest speakers etc. Review and coordinate levels of support with the IT team, ensuring technical set-up for leadership, board meetings and assemblies.
  • Monitor audio-visual performance such as projectors, audio outputs and lighting..
Requirements / Attributes
  • An apprenticeship in IT, or similar work experience.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication.
  • Proficiency in English (German desirable).
  • Flexibility to deal with changing circumstances and needs.
  • Technical experience with Windows / MacOS.
