LOCATION

This position is located at our corporate office in Baar, Switzerland.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and part of the Executive Committee, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) leads and aligns all HR functions by crafting strategies that meet Aman’s business goals.

The CHRO will secure Aman’s long-term growth by developing, managing and integrating the full range of HR programs including but not limited to talent acquisition, talent and leadership development, organizational development, performance management, learning & development, employee relations, HR systems and technology, and compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze the effectiveness of existing HR procedures, systems and tools
  • Craft talent acquisition strategies to build strong pipelines for future hiring needs
  • Design, implement and improve retention and career development plans
  • Promote inclusion in the workplace and contribute to a healthy corporate culture that supports growth and equal opportunity
  • Ensure HR plans are aligned with Aman’s ambition and business objectives
  • Support the COO in organization development to define an appropriate structure to efficiently support the business strategy
  • Define and implement a fair and competitive compensation and benefits strategy
  • Ensure Aman’s hiring, onboarding and management procedures are effective
  • Lead employer branding efforts
  • Supervise the Corporate HR team and guide the hotel-based HR teams
  • Close collaboration with corporate departments and the hotels
  • Ensure Performance management strategy supports the creation of a performance culture
  • Hold and drive Talent Reviews to establish succession planning
  • Implement employee engagement survey to define and implement actions plans that positively impact the level of employee engagement
  • Serve as an employee advocate, mediator, mentor, and coach
  • Keep abreast of government regulations and public policies
  • Develop HR policies to support fair and business adequate HR processes

Qualifications
  • Work experience as a Chief HR Officer, VP of HR or similar role in the hospitality industry
  • 5+ experience in similar role, preferably in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment, e.g. start-up
  • In-depth knowledge of all HR functions
  • Excellent leadership and people skills
  • Experience in strategic planning
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Stay calm and effective under pressure, prioritize responsibilities
  • MSc in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Strategic Management or related field
