Company Description
The Global Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) will lead the development and implementation of LDC’s DEI strategy, programming, and initiatives. Reporting to the Global Head of Sustainability, the Global DEI Manager will ensure alignment and collaboration on company strategic DEI plans and DEI priorities across LDC’s regions. Responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, program development, client strategy, culture change management, and data analysis and reporting. You will advance and highlight the firm’s DEI strengths and ensure the delivery of high-quality DEI initiatives and programming to internal and external stakeholders.You will help to build a network of DEI Sponsors, Ambassadors and Champions across the organization to help deliver an integrated approach to DEI and will collaborate closely with local HR and Talent managers to advance LDC’s global strategic goals as well as provide coordination support regional action plans.This position can be based in LDC offices in Lyon, France or Sao Paolo, Brazil or Geneva, Switzerland or Wilton CT, USA.

Job Description
Along with the below listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other business related to the function as required by her or his supervisor.

Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop, promote, and implement company wide strategy, initiatives, and programs to further Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at LDC
  • Advise the LDC Sustainability Board, Global DEI Committee, and other Region, Function, Platform executive leadership regarding DEI priorities and strategic solutions to identified challenges and barriers to maximizing the overall cultural impact of DEI initiatives.
  • Define and facilitate the implementation of an LDC wide DEI strategy, based on inputs from external and internal stakeholders
  • Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for DEI strategy and initiatives.
  • Partner with business departments (e.g., Human Resources, Finance, Platforms, DT&A, etc.) and Regions (North America, EMEA, SWLATAM, NLATAM, SSEAsia, NAsia) to tailor the Global DEI strategy into their business/Region DEI strategies and action plans.
  • Set up and animate the LDC DEI Governance Structure and Operating Model (Global DEI Committee, Regional DEI Ambassadors, Champions and HR representatives) to support the implementation of global and regional/local DEI strategies and Initiatives
  • Advise LDC’s Executive leaders on DEI strategy and initiatives to build diverse and productive internal teams, and how to foster a culture of Inclusion within their organizations
  • Provide input to DEI related content for RFPs and client and industry surveys.

Talent Development & Retention: The Global DEI Manager will consult with the Global Talent COE on specific actions supporting the recruitment, development, and retention of underrepresented talent at the company, working collaboratively with our HR, business and regional teams:
  • Collaborate with the Global DEI Committee, HR leaders, and Global / Local Learning & Development teams to monitor and assess the mentorship, coaching, development, training, retention, and growth of underrepresented populations.
  • Work with recruiting teams to develop strategies and best practices to enhance LDC’s pipeline of underrepresented talent.
  • Evaluate and review best practices, processes, and programs to improve engagement, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Develop related strategies, training, and programs to raise awareness of the importance of DEI to LDC, how to increase inclusivity to achieve DEI goals and to monitor and evaluate progress.
  • Eventually, set up a comprehensive strategy for creating an LDC affinity group structure to provide support for, advocacy of, and celebration of underrepresented communities.
  • Partner with business departments (e.g., DT&A, Legal, and Human Resources) to develop strategy and implementation plan for analyzing, tracking, sharing, and visualizing demographic data related to recruiting, retention, work allocation, and promotion.

Experiences
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of DEI/talent management experience
  • Areas of experience beneficial to success in this role include strategic planning, team management and development, consensus building, risk management and compliance, budget development and oversight, change management, process improvement, systems design and implementation, and project management.
  • A demonstrated leadership ability that promotes an environment of collaboration, inclusivity, and a culture of high performance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to advance strategic goals through influence.
  • An ability to raise awareness, engage others, listen empathetically, and express empathetic candor when addressing challenging and sensitive issues, especially when counseling or relating to those with different cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a track record of using data and metrics to evaluate needs, drive change and measure impact.
  • Highly motivated, creative problem solver that is flexible, results-oriented, and can work independently under pressure with demanding deadlines.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of responsibility and be proactive and a self-starter.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including travel as needed.

Skills
  • Develop and manage annual DEI budget that reflects investment priorities, resources, and expenditures, based on impact and measurable results.
  • Represent LDC in industry programs, conferences, and professional organizations, and identify presentation and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Develop strategy for evaluating and managing sponsorships and external partnerships.
  • Identify potential opportunities to implement DEI-related certifications and recognitions to help guide best practices and to emphasize LDC’s continued commitment to DEI.
  • Additional projects and duties as assigned.

Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required, additional advanced degree a plus.
