We are welcoming a highly experienced and seasoned procurement professional to join us in the role of a Global Head of Procurement Sandoz. In this role you will lead a top-performing and strongly business-aligned Global Procurement Organization by delivering net productivity targets to business stakeholders including alignment to business requirements, provide strategic sourcing expertise, supplier market intelligence, contribute to financial optimization and risk mitigation. You shall provide active leadership and ensure cultural change in spend behavior, service level definition and policy setting to enable productivity and efficiency improvements.

Major accountabilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Sandoz Procurement strategy and ensure implementation at a Country, functional & category level.
  • Oversee the development of Procurement business plans, ensuring full alignment with company targets, and set stretch targets for the team, benchmarking versus best-in-class external organizations, and measure achievement of objectives against KPIs, as well as execution of procurement processes in full respect of Compliance and Company policies
  • Define and implement a strong concept of key supplier management that enables strategic rela-tionships with partners delivering a sustainable competitive advantage to Sandoz
  • Oversee the implementation and utilization of Procurement systems and tools and ensure consistent tracking of savings and other Procurement KPIs
  • Demonstrate thought leadership related to the identification, implementation & continuous improvement of sourcing best practices, systems and processes.
  • Direct the preparation and finalization of Procurement investments plans and budgets and oversee multiple multi-country Procurement projects
  • Build and lead a high performing team responsible for interfacing with business partners, forming and implementing category strategies and delivering value (Direct or indirect reports >200)
  • Ensure the ongoing development of relevant skills within the team, including business partnering, change and project management, category management and strategic sourcing to realize optimal results for Sandoz, as well as provide talent management, leadership and mentoring to ensure a strong succession pipeline and clear development pathways for Procurement associates

Minimum Requirements
  • University level degree or MBA
  • English (excellence in speaking and writing), additional languages desirable
  • At least 15 years of Procurement experience
  • At least 5+ years in the healthcare industry or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to work and drive change in a complex, multi-cultural, x-divisional matrixed, international environment
  • Extensive experience in category management.
  • Experience in interaction with senior management, leading projects as well as working with global, regional and country organizations
  • Strong influencing, people, communication and analytical skills as well as an enterprise-wide mindset
