The programme


This is a unique 24-month experience where we offer you a permanent position along with a specific programme with rotations in different teams to build your expertise and professional skills. Based on a permanent contract, our graduate programme includes on- and off-the-job components, placing the emphasis on teamwork, strengthening your skillset, furthering your development and setting specific objectives.


Our graduate programmes are intended for young postgraduates with degrees from top universities. As a participant in the programme, you will not only develop the technical and interpersonal skills needed for your future career at Pictet but also be given the opportunity to build a network of peers within the company.

Pictet Alternative Advisors (PAA) is a leading alternative investment group and a wholly owned subsidiary of Pictet with expertise in hedge funds, private equity, real estate and private debt. With teams based globally, PAA constructs, manages and advises portfolios of alternative investment solutions for institutional and private clients.

Pictet has high growth ambitions for PAA for the coming years, notably to expand its product and solution offering as well as further develop its institutional and intermediary client base. In view of these developments, PAA is looking to hire a Graduate to join the Risk & Compliance team. The Risk & Compliance team is composed of 9 professionals across Europe with expertise in Alternative Investments.

Your role


Key responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the implementation of PAA’s risk management and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Participating in the assessment of risks associated with PAA’s business activities, identifying areas of risk, and proposing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Assisting in monitoring and investigated potential compliance breaches, reporting findings to the Compliance Managers.
  • Participating in specific projects related to risk management and compliance as per the company’s requirements.
  • Monitoring and analyzing relevant regulatory developments in Alternative investments, providing recommendations on necessary actions.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of risk management and compliance monitoring programs for PAA.

The programme is made up of rotations in different teams within the Group. These rotations will allow you to get a broader perspective on the interdependency and synergies across departments and business lines. You will also develop your leadership, business and technical skills. At the end of the programme, you will be ready to take a full-time position on the Risk & Compliance team in Geneva.

Your profile


  • Master’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, economics, law, or political science from a top-tier university.
  • Strong interest in risk management and compliance in the alternative asset management sector.
  • Relevant work/internship experience in compliance, audit or risk management – with a maximum of two years’ work experience.
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively.
  • Drive, positive energy and a team player.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
