Tasks

With your passion for the airline business, people, you continuously develop the skills of your team

members. You interpret your role as an enabler shaping your team towards successfully operating in a

cross-functional, agile business context.

  • Responsibility for the successful completion of IT projects (project management, quality management & documentation).
  • Continuous monitoring of market developments in the area of airline-specific software products and technologies(products, providers, standards)
  • Elaboration and further development of the strategy of the application landscape of SWISS in collaboration with SWISS IT Engineering
  • Leadership, motivation, and development of subordinates as well as the adequate design of the organization and processes in the area of responsibility
  • Commitment to create and maintain a productive work collaboration across IT to Business
  • Own the technical relationships with vendors and partners
  • Communicate project/program progress within the core team and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or comparable education
  • Proven track record of delivering software successfully. Technical expertise and experience in software development is a strong advantage
  • Solid project management experience to identify and address critical situations proactively
  • Excellent communication- and cooperation skills with internal and external partners
  • Team-player, flexible, and able to work under pressure
  • Experienced in leading people as a line manager and proven conflict resolution skills
  • Experienced with agile, DevOps processes, and cloud environments is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills, pronounced solution, and team orientation
  • Knowledge in the Amadeus ecosystem is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the IT airline application ecosystem and business is a plus.
