Job Description:

Role:
The Supply Network Operations (SNO) organisation orchestrates our products’ end-to-end activities along their value chains and is the catalyst for establishing a customer-centric, seamless product flow that provides our patients and customers with the highest possible level of service.
SNO contains all key supply chain operating processes, our product value stream group and the regional SNO teams.

The objective of this role is to lead the Regional SNO team for Europe, Latin America and Canada (ELAC) to deliver against both operational and strategic objectives to serve our patients. This will be achieved by delivering service level via the coordination of all activities, processes and interfaces of the regional value chain with strong customer focus. Establish strong cross-functional connectivity, anticipate the impact of innovation and changes in market dynamics and improve the overall Regional Supply performance, whilst maintaining a culture of customer centric and business driven teams.

Your responsibilities:

  • A key member of the Regional Commercial Leadership team, representing the technical operations function across all aspects. Proactively identify risks, define mitigation plans and lead transparent communication with commercial teams.
  • A critical member of the SNO Leadership team, responsible for representing the ELAC commercial needs and driving the strategic objectives of the SNO organisation
  • Lead the Regional SNO team, responsible for organisation engagement, performance management and development. This role has responsibility for a team of 11 employees.
  • Responsible for all SNO operational key performance indicators: service, quality, cost and inventory. Lead product replenishment to regional/local warehouses working closely with Area Head, VSLs and Global Support functions, to meet and exceed patients/customers’ expectations.
  • Continuous improvement of cross-functional processes to deliver on our KPIs
  • Implement and lead Regional S&OP with area commercial. Consolidate and validate regional demand, risks and opportunities and challenge local input where appropriate. Drive regional and local demand planning capability.
  • Manage inbound and outbound Logistics, has full responsibility and accountability for the direct/indirect management of Distribution Centres including performance, cost, trade, GDP and customs compliance with support from the global functional experts.
  • Define, deploy and implement the strategic vision for the regional organisation, for before, during and after the implementation of our transformational projects including ERP.
  • Leadership accountability of the implementation of the distribution network optimisation project for ELAC region.
  • Organize the execution of last stage packaging if/as required, overlooks local QA/QC activities related to late stage packaging, warehousing and distribution.


Required experience & competencies:

  • Master degree in Engineering, (Bio-)Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial management, supply chain or a related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in in Pharmaceutical Industry or other complex, highly regulated industry, relevant experience in Supply Chain, demand and/or Operations.
  • A change agent with experience of driving transformation across organisations, systems and processes.
  • An organisational developer- passionate about building capability within the organisation.
  • Self-starter, persistent, motivator, team player, people oriented, effective leader, goal-oriented and keen and effective in a cross-functional and cross- cultural working environment.
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation
  • Experience operating and implementing E2E ERP systems- preferably: SAP and Kinaxis-Rapid response
  • Fluent in English, outstanding English writing skills and 2nd language is an advantage.


The role reports to SVP Supply Network Operations, with matrix reporting to SVP Head of ELAC
