M365 Engineer

Role and Responsibilities:

As an M365 Engineer specializing in migrations, you will play a critical role in the successful adoption of Microsoft 365 (M365) services within organizations. Your primary focus will be on technical development and ensuring a smooth transition to M365 Cloud. Here are the key responsibilities for this role:

  • Migration Strategy and Execution:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute migration strategies for transitioning from on-premises systems to M365 Cloud.
    • Specifically, handle migrations related to SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange.
    • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance during the migration process.
  • Development and Industrialization:
    • Develop and optimize back-end solutions to support M365 services.
    • Automate migration tasks using PowerShell scripts or other relevant tools.
    • Industrialize the rollout process by adopting DevOps practices to streamline deployments and minimize disruptions.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Provide technical assistance to end-users and IT teams during migration.
    • Troubleshoot issues related to data transfer, authentication, and integration.
    • Collaborate with mid-senior engineers to address complex challenges.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
    • Leverage your background in testing to create robust testing strategies.
    • Conduct thorough testing of M365 configurations, ensuring functionality and performance.
    • Identify and rectify any issues before full-scale deployment.
  • Documentation and Adaptation:
    • Document migration processes, configurations, and best practices.
    • Create technical guides for troubleshooting and maintenance.
    • Stay informed about M365 updates, security enhancements, and industry trends and adapt to changes in the M365 Cloud ecosystem.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications and educational requirements:

  • Education:
    • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.
    • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are advantageous.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in scripting using languages like PowerShell or Python.
    • Experience with Azure services, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, and Azure Functions.
  • Migration Experience:
    • Proven experience in migrating systems to M365, especially SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, and Teams.
    • Familiarity with hybrid configurations and coexistence scenarios.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Fluent in both French and English to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Testing Background:
    • Your expertise in testing or testing strategy will be a significant advantage.
    • Ability to create test plans, execute test cases, and ensure quality assurance.
  • Collaboration and Problem-Solving:
    • Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
    • Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and optimizing migration paths.
