Full-time employment. Bar Waiter/ess earn $40,000 - $55,000 annually, which includes participation in Viking’s gratuity program. Onboard our ship
  • Lodging (shared cabin with 1 other crewmember), meals, Wi-Fi, uniforms, and laundry are free of charge for all crew members

What You Will Do On Board
  • Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with company standards, menus and recipes
  • Operate bar according to standard operating procedures
  • Ensure high level of cleanliness in bar, pantry, lounge, sundeck in accordance with HACCP standards and public health policies
  • Control bar costs within the budget, including establishing weekly stock orders and conducting inventory
  • Assist in organizing and executing F&B-related ship functions and special events
  • Participate in onboard training programs and daily departmental meetings, occasionally assist and rotate in the restaurant to work as Chef de Rang
About YouMISSING QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years’ experience as Bar Waiter/Bartender or similar at a 5-Star hospitality and/or restaurant environment; shipboard experience is an advantage.
  • Must be 21+ years old; physically fit and in good health; must be able to carry heavy items and stand, kneel and bend for prolonged periods of time.
  • Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality, professional appearance and impeccable hygiene standards
  • Excellent knowledge of all public health policies
Mandatory Requirements & At Will Employment
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card) to work onboard the ship, as required by federal regulations
  • Ability to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug test. This includes testing for marijuana and other controlled substances. We are a Drug-Free and Alcohol-Free workplace
