Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Production Technician to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a contract basis located in Basel. Our client is focused on prolonging and improving the lives of many.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities
  • For this role, you will be accountable for guaranteeing the system availability of the allocated systems.
  • Responsible for current training/development.
  • You will adhere to and perceive several accountabilities rendering to the respective responsibility task lists.
  • Manage delegated sampling.
  • Cooperate and share knowledge with the team and project shareholders, as well as assist with onboarding new personnel in the role of trainer.
  • Receipt of goods, proper storage and preparation for dispatch of the goods
  • The ideal candidate will manage the operations, which involves setup, cleaning and disinfection of the production amenities and rooms.
  • Conform to allocated training/procedural papers.
  • Contribute to the execution of and conformity with 5S and IQP/Continuous Improvement (CI) Measures.
  • Create concepts for the suggestion scheme.
  • Accomplish training/courses in the electronic training system within a timely manner.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements
  • At least accomplished vocational training, ideally as a chemical and pharmaceutical technologist within the food division or hygiene establishment or with familiarity in a GMP regulated setting such as mechanics, mechatronics etc.
  • Fluency in the German language with knowledge in the English language.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a GMP regulated setting with no specialist training as a chemical or pharmaceutical technologist will be taken into consideration.
  • Former involvement within development establishment of chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Acquaintance with the production of active ingredients such as sieving, mixing and grinding actions, or solid dosage forms such as mixing, granulating, sieving, milling, compacting, extruding, tabletting, encapsulation, sorting, coating.
  • A driving license for forklifts would be advantageous.
  • Able to safe handle the application of the GxP guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Granulation.
  • Knowledge of WSG (fluid bed granulators).
  • Prior involvement with extruding.
  • Acquaintance with compacting.
