When considering candidates, we look for scientific and business professionals who are highly motivated, collaborative, and most importantly, share our passionate interest in fighting cancer.Position Location: open to Remote Europe, prefer Basel Switzerland.General DescriptionWe are looking for an ambitious Financial Analyst to join our Sub-Region Europe (comprised of the Nordics, Netherlands, Switzerland and Poland) finance team within the FP&A function. This is a key position for an aspiring, ambitious finance professional who is motivated to contribute to setting up the Sub-Region European finance function as BeiGene builds out its presence around the world. The incumbent must have a willingness and ability to deal with detailed tactical and operational items while not losing sight of the overall big picture. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, organized and results driven individual with strong technical and communication skills, judgment, and problem-solving skills with the capacity to work in a non-structured environment. The ideal candidate portrays strong willingness and eagerness to learn and engage in operational finance.Essential Functions Of The Job
  • Develop and administer management reporting for the various commercial, RD and administrative functions across the Sub-Region Europe region. Prepare pertinent financial analysis to assist business leaders in achieving their financial objectives. Prepare financial inputs into forecasting, budget and long-range planning.
  • Provide technical financial expertise to support the decision-making process.
  • Key finance business partner for the region and key point of contact with global FP&A.
    • Support the strategic planning and annual budgeting processes for the region
    • Work with the functional leads to review targets and expectations to the at country and Sub-Region European level.
    • Define formats and templates to be completed for country submissions and review presentations.
  • Preparation of regional analysis and presentations for Sub-Region European and corporate management.
  • Provide guidelines to the markets including key assumptions, targets and review analysis to ensure the final plan has full by-in from the markets and meets international expectations.
  • Recommend solutions for business/process/technical/analytical issues that arise in every day work challenges current methods to improve accuracy/efficiency.
  • Assist with period closing activities
Profile
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Forecasting or Analytics.
  • Experience in building out/establishing financial reporting tools in an international FP&A function. (PowerBI)
  • Comfortable in operating in a non-structured fast paced environment
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical / Lifesciences mandatory.
  • Experience of delivering insightful point of view from data and ability to present analysis, information and reporting’s in a clear and impactful way.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills in finance, forecasting, financial analysis and budgeting. An understanding of business disciplines in order to develop, analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work well with all levels and departments within the company.
Computer Skills:SAP S/4 Hana, Excel, Power BI,Other QualificationsAccounting/Business/Finance Bachelor degree with 4-6 years of experience in a multinational finance environment (Experience in Pharmaceutical / Lifesciences mandatory).Willingness to be hands-on; desire to work in a fast paced, changing (currently unstructured) environment, excellent communication skills combined with cultural sensitivity, excellent spoken/written English and German languageTravel: Up to 10% in Sub-Region EuropeEducation Required:University level degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field, MBA / Further education in Finance an asset.CompetenciesEthics- Treats people with respect; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values.Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently.
