Job Description

As a Senior Expert for Downstream Process Development and New Technologies, you will be a key enabler for our technology advancement projects and contribute to our innovation strategy. You will act as subject matter expert for all DSP related questions in our Scientific Office and closely collaborate with experts within the Biologics community across functions and organizations.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Identify and influence the DSP technologies portfolio, which enables our diverse biologics pipeline towards our HDPB facility
  • Act as a DSP subject matter expert and provide a scientific guidance and (strategic) direction to team members
  • Be responsible for designing and planning of complex experiments as well as interpreting and reporting of results
  • Lead or contribute to the evaluation and development of new DSP technologies
  • Be proactively identifying scientific, technological and operational challenges and proposing solutions and communicating key issues to internal customers and partners
  • Align and collaborate with external vendors to establish and implement innovative development solutions
  • Contribute to the establishment of in-silico models in accordance to our data & digital strategy
Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • A Master Degree in biotechnology, biochemical engineering, bioprocess technology or similar with at least 5 years strong relevant industry experience in downstream biologics processing or PhD in relevant field and at least 2-3 years relevant industry experience
  • Excellent ability to build collaborative relationships and a can-do mind-set
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong experience in (continuous / connected) downstream process development and scale-up for diverse Biologics formats
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
