Job Description
Along with the below listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other business related to the function as required by her or his supervisor.

  • Develop ESG narratives and define/execute communication plans to position these with relevant stakeholders, in line with LDC’s sustainability goals and priorities.
  • Support the production of sustainability reports / publications that effectively communicate LDC’s progress and impact on ESG goals and priorities, liaising with relevant internal (commercial/functional) stakeholders to gather necessary data and information, reviewing copy/content and contributing to report promotion activities.
  • Develop plans and materials supporting communication on ESG performance, efforts, projects and initiatives to key internal (LDC’s Supervisory Board and employees) and external (banks, investors, customers, partners, NGOs, etc.) stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on the latest sustainability trends and developments to ensure that LDC’s ESG communication efforts align with industry best practices.
  • Work with the wider LDC communications team to develop and execute sustainability-related communication campaigns and initiatives
  • Act as the communication team liaison in internal and external sustainability-related committees / working groups.

Experiences
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a communication management role.
  • Experience in producing sustainability reports and other communication materials, and coordinating (internal / external) communication campaigns.
  • Proven copywriting / editorial skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Solid experience in companies or organizations of medium/large complexity, preferably in agribusiness.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to function efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging matrix environment.

Skills
Technical knowledge:
  • Data Collection & Analysis
  • Project Management
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and guidelines (e.g. the Global Reporting Initiative)
  • Sound understanding of relevant ESG issues for agribusiness (deforestation, regenerative agriculture, decarbonization / energy use, water management, human rights, diversity equity & inclusion, etc.) and how these link to long-term value creation for the business and wider value chain.

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, sustainability or a related field.
