To further strengthen our “Technical Publications” department, we are currently looking for a “Junior Technical Writer”.

The Position
As “Junior Technical Writer” you will be accountable to create and update all Aerospace Technical Publications (TechPubs) across the Meggitt Services & Support (S&S) sites. You will also be responsible to act as the deputy of the TechPubs Manager during his absence.

Job Core Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this role are:
  • Researches all necessary information, creates and/or updates both text and graphics using electronic desktop publishing software in order to produce CMPs/CMMs, SBs, SILs, GEMs, PLS, IMTRs, CDTRs and other Aerospace Customer Support documentation in accordance with the current applicable ATA specification.
  • Evaluates, on a continuous basis, manual adherence to the Meggitt Services and Support strict quality standards, the Meggitt Corporate Identity and the latest templates established within the Technical Publications group (TechPubs).
  • Liaises with the Quality Assurance Directive QRL-095E (Creation, Release and Modification of Aerospace Technical Publications) in all aspects of his activities.
  • Organizes the internal review and the sign-off meeting for each document he is in charge of.
  • Liaises with MROs and/or Engineering Departments for technical assistance & liaises with Program/Project/Product Management for program information.
  • Trains and remains competent in all aspects of the operation and use of the electronic desktop publishing software made available by the company, in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Meets the set deadlines given by the TechPubs Manager and/or the project management tools in place.
  • Deals with delegated day-to-day activities and assists, as required, in the review of documents created by the team members.
  • Acts as the deputy of the TechPubs Manager & liaises with end-customers in absence of the TechPubs Manager.

Job Specifications

Your Profile

  • 1 year experience in technical writing using professional DTP software is a must.
  • Technical experience (Laboratory or technical maintenance).
  • Written, Read and Spoken (English mother tongue is not specifically required as Simplified English will be used in writing).
  • Good writing capability & logical thinking.
  • Independent person with “Do-It-Yourself” ability, resourceful & quick learner.
