Job description

In this challenging and dynamic role, the Total Reward Lead EMEACwill be our key compensation & benefits advisor for the region. Integrated within the Global Reward Center of Excellence (CoE), the role will be accountable for the execution of global reward programs within the region.

This role will be accountable for:

  • Developing an EMEAC compensation & benefits strategy
  • Executing our policies, guidelines, and processes within the Region
  • Continuously improving our global governance model, policies and processes based on regional needs
  • Building of Compensation & Benefits expertise and capability across the region by training and developing our Local Business HR teams
  • Governing and managing external partners as well as internal stakeholders across HR, the CoE network of experts and the regional management
  • Coaching and supporting of the regional HR management with complex EMEAC projects that require the connection of Compensation & Benefits elements



Your main tasks

  • Become the EMEA Compensation & Benefits (C&B) advisor for HR within the region and devise solutions for specific issues in countries or businesses, ensuring the respect of corporate philosophy on compensation and benefits while addressing the needs of the business (e.g. hyperinflation, hyper competition, addressing of unique local market specificities, etc.)
  • Lead and at times support global CoE projects which impacts the region
  • Co-develop and deploy the new Galderma Global Job Architecture project in the region, including the implementation, communication and buy-in of a global new job catalogue and new global grading methodology
  • Deploy global compensation & benefits programs within the region and, if needed, develop a regional C&B strategy and re-design regional C&B programs, working closely with the Global Compensation Lead and the other Regional C&B managers
  • Deploy region-wide Benefits projects; work closely with the Global Head of Benefits and business stakeholders to develop change plans and evaluate implications
  • Develop region-wide C&B improvement plans - such as cross-border harmonization opportunities - based on research and best practices and in line with Galderma’s value proposition
  • Support HR restructuring projects in the region by providing C&B analysis, cost impact and recommendations to key stakeholders including HRBPs, Business HR in countries and Managers
  • Partner with HRIS and the "People Solution Centre (SSC)" to execute compensation administration activities in the HR system and build required reporting functionalities to collect, analyze and present data
  • Support HRBPs and country HR management as needed to price and prepare competitive remuneration proposals for candidates as necessary
  • Establish project management methodologies to track and manage all wide-scope C&B projects impacting the region
  • Lead on C&B training activities for HR and managers
  • Lead the Global Compensation communications at the regional level



Your profile:

  • Bachelor / Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration or equivalent (education in Finance is preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of Compensation and Benefits theories and practice required
  • Experience in the design and/or administration of multi-country/region compensation and benefits programs
  • Global or international markets experience strongly preferred, being Skilled and experienced in operating across cultures and in a multi-cultural environment
  • Full proficiency in English - combined with another European language preferred
  • MS Office Advanced (Excel, Power Point)
  • Previous experience of Compensation modules in Workday
  • Ability to perform research independently and effectively present data and recommendations to management if necessary
  • High levels of analytical skills required, combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be results driven, service-oriented team player who can function effectively and independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to gain trust, respect, and support through business knowledge and functional competence
  • Ability to work both in the detail and at a conceptual level
  • Fluency in English
