Hobson Prior are looking for a DMPK-PD Project Leader to join a fantastic biotech organisation on a contract basis. Our client is focused on differentiating remedies within various therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this position, you will guide the drug design and optimisation methods and compound profiling for all DMPK features with a solid emphasis on validating target biology and translational PK/PD idea and leading medicinal chemistry efforts towards drug-like properties.
• Implement translational PK/PD concepts within allocated projects.
• Perform basic M&S actions such as. PKPD, PBPK, prediction of human dose and dose regimen, in projects to assist drug discovery and development throughout LO as part of CLS package up to EIH.
• Prepare high-quality scientific examinations of non-clinical DMPK information on development compounds suitable for internal program evaluation and regulatory proposal such as for IND, IB, CTA, NDA, BLA documentation, etc.
• Guarantee and enable transparent decision making in the teams such as Chapter, project team, biomarkers and portfolio squads, led by clear decision criteria and based on thorough data analysis.
• Assist with early drug discovery teams to form a translation method for clinical review of target modulation in disease by implementing, biochemical, biological and pharmacological considerations pertinent to PKPD relationships.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Educated to an advanced degree level in a pharmaceutical science, chemistry, pharmacology, bioengineering field with training in pharmacology or PBPK/PD modelling.
• Demonstrable experience within a relevant industry organisation in a pharmacokinetic-linked field.
• Knowledge in finding or early characterisation of PK, metabolism, distribution, DDI and PKPD aspects of small molecule drugs and comprehension of pharmacology and physiology.
• Know-how and familiarity with basic modelling and simulation is particularly appreciated to develop current skill sets in the group.
• Eager or capable of learning Phoenix, Berkley Madonna, Gastroplus, SimCyp or any other applicable modelling and simulation tools.
• Acquaintance with any other therapeutic modalities, for example: macrocyclic peptides, antibody-drug candidates or protein therapeutics would be beneficial.
• Comprehension of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
• Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Leadership experience and skills.
