In this key role as our new Head BI Applications, you will lead a European team of around 10 Business Intelligence, ETL and BI Energy Reporting Specialists. Together with your team you will ensure secure operations and evolvement of IT services related to reporting and analysis of data coming from various data sources with a focus on energy trading. You will report directly to our Head of IT Infrastructure and be based in Switzerland, at our offices in Olten or Lausanne.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach Business Intelligence team (technical and people lead)
  • Lead complex medium to large projects as interface between business and IT
  • Plan and implement the Alpiq Business Intelligence strategy
  • Ensure the operation of Business Intelligence (Energy Reporting) Service
  • Plan BI team resources and orchestrate demand implementation
  • Organize 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Steering of external providers
Your Qualifications
  • Master in Information Technology, TDWI’s Certified Business Intelligence Professional or similar and at least 8 years of relevant professional experience
  • Architectural know-how of Data Warehouse (ideally Snowflake) & BI solutions
  • Data modelling, Data Warehousing, ETL and reporting and analysis of front-end tools
  • Comprehension of energy trading business
  • Ideally advanced in Data Vault 2.0 and Data Warehouse Automation (WhereScape)
  • Ideally excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, up to executive level
  • Proficient in English as a must, ideally fluent in German or French
