Bühler are providing a master thesis with the sustainability team in Uzwil to establish a methodology and process to efficiently quantify and report full & detailed Scope 3 emissions annually in accordance to the best practices and regulation frameworks (e.g. TCFD, CSRD, CDP)

The thesis start is ideally in January / February 2024. The thesis should be a mandatory master thesis project required from the student’s university to complete their degree. Therefore, it will be unpaid. However, specific expenses can be covered by Bühler upon agreement.

Tasks

• Establish a methodology and process to efficiently quantify Scope 3 emissions
• Report full & detailed Scope 3 emissions annually in accordance to the best practices and regulation frameworks
• Purpose of the thesis is to investigate and embed this methodology, data collection process, and reporting structure for Scope 3 downstream (with a focus on Category 11 and 12) into the business and ultimately show the impact of the key solutions to reduce the CO2e emissions in both the Customer Value Chain and the Buhler Value Chain.
