We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our finance team as the Onboard Finance Processes and Projects Manager, reporting to the Head of Onboard Finance. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving financial processes across our fleet of cruise ships, managing financial projects, and working in synergy with our service provider in Naples, specifically in the area of analysis and processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree or Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in finance, project management, and process optimization.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with the cruise industry or hospitality sector is advantageous.
1. Process Mapping and Optimization:
  • Utilize tools such as Visio, Drawio, or similar software to create comprehensive visual representations of current shipboard financial processes.
  • Conduct analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of current shipboard financial processes.
  • Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas for improvement through data analysis and stakeholder feedback.
  • Collaborate with onboard finance teams and the Naples service provider to ensure accurate documentation of all relevant processes and implement improvements to streamline workflows.
2. Performance Measurement and Reporting:
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of shipboard financial processes.
  • Implement mechanisms for ongoing measurement and reporting of the impact of process improvements.
  • Regularly assess and communicate the success of optimization initiatives to senior management.
3. Implementation Planning:
  • Develop detailed plans for the implementation of proposed process improvements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
4. Project Management:
  • Lead and execute financial projects related to shipboard operations, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
5. Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure shipboard financial processes comply with all relevant standards.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with shipboard operations.
6. Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights into shipboard financial performance.
  • Collaborate with the Naples service provider’s analysis team to leverage expertise and improve reporting capabilities.
