Optotune is a growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets.

Your goal is to grow Optotune’s consumer business, may that be by scaling up our core markets, finding new applications for existing products or developing new markets.

Tasks
  • Lead complex high volume manufacturing projects in close collaboration with customers, sales team, product engineering, and operations
  • Understand the customer needs, plan, coordinate, and drive customer projects to mass production ensuring product performance, costs as well as development time and costs
  • Directly manage customer communication and relationships
  • Responsible for project controlling and ensure to stay within budget, timeline, and costs
  • Manage the critical path of the project and key project risks
  • Make sure that deadlines are achieved, and decisions are made when needed
  • Regularly briefing of internal and external stakeholders regarding project progress and milestones
Requirements
  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, physics, or related fields (preferably MSc)
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management in high tech industry (preferably in opto-/electro-mechanical systems)
  • Demonstrated ability to think multidimensional when planning, managing teams and projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, hands on and pragmatic
  • Ready to travel up to 20%
  • English proficiency
