As our new Regional Regulatory Manager, you will be located at our offices in Geneva, Switzerland. Here, you will work side by side with colleagues across the Regulatory & Reg. Affairs department, and you will join a truly international organization.


About the role:

Key elements:

  • The Regional Regulatory Manager will be responsible for day to day management on regional projects, working with the global regulatory manager, technical experts and development to identify risks and challenges within the projects, devise a management plan and timely communication to management.
  • The position requires initiative in regulatory management of projects directly linked to the success of the business in the areas of product line expansion, growth, defense, sourcing, off-patent strategy, trade and competitive intelligence, in the assigned geographies and across all product lines.
  • The role will encourage best practice on building relationships with regulatory bodies, regional technical managers, global/country regulatory managers and the business in order to ensure that FMC position is clearly aligned, and submission strategy agreed.

Job description:

Overview:

You will be joining a diverse regional team, based in different geographies. The role is based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Stepping into this dynamic environment, your tasks will vary greatly from day to day, and you will need to handle multiple projects simultaneously, putting your excellent coordination and communication skills into play.


Responsibilities:

Principal duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership and Project Management of the Regional Regulatory projects to ensure license to operate:
    • Identify challenges and risks for actives/products and devise a management plan
    • Supporting country regulatory managers and to develop and implement regulatory strategy, to meet submission deadlines and ensure timely publication of product authorization.
    • Understand the regional and national regulatory environment and promote strategies in advance of competitive pressure.
    • Supporting regional business with their queries and aligning with them on ongoing and upcoming projects
  • Internal reporting and communications
    • Ensuring regulatory documentation is kept updated and provide accurate information on project status.
    • Development of project budgets and tracking budget spend
    • Seek regular interaction between Regional Registration Manager, Regional Technical Manager and Portfolio Manager
    • To be active in teams and represent FMC (Project meetings, Task Forces, industry meetings)


The successful Applicant:

Handling a wide range of everchanging tasks simultaneously, you will need to be able to prioritise, organise and structure. You know how to analyse situations and make critical judgements, and this combined with a great attention to detail enables you to think out of the box when solving tasks. Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Have an MSc or a PhD degree within areas such as agriculture, chemistry or biology
  • Previous experience as Regulatory Manager
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a regulated industry
  • Know your way around Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Able to travel roughly 20 days a year
  • Strong English, written and oral presentation skills.
