Senior Web Project Leader (m/f/d) - 80-100% - Fixed-term

For our Digital Services Department we are hiring at our Bern Office in Ostermundigen a driven and target oriented Senior Web Project Manager (m/f/d).

Our Digital Services team, responsible for the comprehensive TCS.ch website, is seeking a skilled Senior Web Project Manager at our Ostermundigen office. The website serves as a hub for diverse content and various applications, catering to public, member, and customer services. It features a member portal for profile access, membership details, and information on additional product subscriptions, along with eCommerce operations primarily focused on assistance memberships and insurances.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced project leader to spearhead the development of a new concept for our flagship website. This pivotal project, is planned to last 12-15 months, will concentrate solely on the conceptualization of the website, excluding its implementation, which is planned as a separate, subsequent project.

Your challenges as Project Leader

• Refine a strategic 12-15 month plan, leveraging your previous experience Onboard and collaborate with all business units of TCS
• Lead project organization and define the roles and responsibilities of team members, This includes:

o Conduct requirement gathering phases with all business units and help them to list their needs and expectations

o Coordinate and collaborate with key Digital Services experts and product owners (UX, Content Management, SEO, technical constraints or opportunities)

o Crafting a comprehensive TCS digital web strategy that aligns with unit expectations and current digital trends. within the boundaries of the IT, Digital Services and Business Strategies

o Creating an initial concept for the new TCS.ch website, drawing inspiration from exceptional and similar websites

o Presenting the vision to all business units and incorporating their feedback

o Refine the vision iteratively by gathering stakeholders feedbacks and balancing the different priorities

o Develop a high fidelity prototype that can be used to share the final vision and test it

o Conducting user testing to validate the concept

o Estimate, with the help of TCS web team, the amount of work needed for the implementation project

• Assume full responsibility of the whole project including planning, team involvement, and budget oversight
• Facilitate internal communication to foster widespread commitment to the project within TCS
• Ensure that the top management vision pertains during the whole process and organize check points to confirm alignment during the course of the project
• Manage potential inconsistency between requests and work with priorities

This will help you get started

• Engineering or University degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in web projects, preferably at various position
• Proven experience in leading major website redesign projects in key positions.
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies to enhance flexibility and efficiency in project delivery.
• Experience of handling numerous stakeholders and points of view in a multilingual environment
• Demonstrated experience in overseeing various aspects of website concept development, such as user experience, content management, SEO, marketing, and business analysis
• Used to work with top management and possessing strong communication skills
• Keen awareness and curiosity about emerging web trends and public digital behavior. Capacity for strategic thinking and long-term planning, ensuring that web projects align with overall business goals
• Creative and open-minded person with can-do approach
• Team player with good social skills
• Native German speaking, Swiss-German, professional working proficiency in French, and English
• Technical proficiency with web development tools and platforms to better understand and communicate project needs
