Service and Application Engineer

Your MissionBased in Morges, Switzerland, with moderate travels (around 30%) around the world, the Configuration Engineer performs a wide range of duties including the following:

• Installation of monitoring instrumentation
• Configuration and optimization in line with the requirements of the application
• Onsite or remote commissioning and validation (SAT) of Omnisens monitoring systems and associated tasks, including preparation and reporting
• Customer training at Omnisens or at their site
• Periodic analysis and reporting of monitoring systems in operation
• Software installation and update
• Support of Operations team when needed for following tasks:
• Preparation and performance of laboratory tests or factory system validation (FAT)
• Technical support for customers
• Technical documentation and project drawings

Your Skills

• Autonomy, flexibility, and good analytical skills
• Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously
• Professional and customer-oriented appearance and behavior
• Good knowledge in Windows OS and its environment (Office); Linux OS is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Knowledge and interest in programming, Matlab and/or Python scripting is a plus

Profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electricity, Electronics, Instrumentation or similar
• Experience in engineering or site service
• Experience in Fiber Optics technology or in Oil & Gas and Energy projects is a plus
• International and/or industrial experience is a plus
• Willing to travel moderately at relatively short notice

Language

• Fluent written and spoken English and French
• German or Spanish is an asset
