FNZ Product and Technology team is looking for experienced Java Software Engineers to join our team in Chiasso, Switzerland.

Our Software Engineers investigate the newest technologies to push the FNZ Studio over the top. We seek talents in the area of network & clustering, software architecture, performance analysis, databases, big & versatile data and data science. If you dream in HD color Java code, join us to build the heart of our next-generation software development platform.
You will work in a self-organized team that takes care of developing parts of the FNZ Studio and applications that run on top of it from the initial design phase to the final release. You will interact with people in our different offices around the world and with different expertise. We strongly believe in team work and your team is responsible for the quality of the product it delivers.
During development, you will also be working on activities such as:
  • Knowledge sharing with the other engineers
  • Continuous collaboration with designers and the PM of your team
  • Unit testing
  • Manual and automated testing
  • Presenting work to other teams and stakeholders

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain parts of the FNZ Studio and applications that run on top of it.
  • Participate in the technical design and implementation of products.
  • Transform design mockups in working user interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, tech leads and product managers.
  • Ensure a high level of quality of the developed application.
  • Interact with other departments during design workshops.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable title.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • Good proficiency in Java and experience in building Java based Web applications.
  • Strong knowledge of fundamentals like object-oriented programming, design patterns, and algorithms.
  • Knowledge in developing user interfaces with Web technologies, such as Javascript, CSS, HTML.
  • Understanding of the concepts required to build a Rich Internet Application (RIA), such as client side rendering, REST, JSON, AJAX, etc.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools such as GIT, Gradle and Bitbucket or equivalent tools.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good written & verbal English skills.

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of the database technologies and query languages.
  • Knowledge of the memory management best practices.
  • Knowledge of React.
  • Experience in other programming languages.
