Ärztekasse Genossenschaft develops together with its partners software for health professionals. As a software engineer you will develop products for doctor offices, patient billing and eHealth services.

The requirements for software products in the medical industry are demanding in regards of data security, reliability, and correctness. As we are on the way to design and implement the next generation of our products and eHealth services, we are looking for experienced and smart software engineers. In the past Ärztekasse Genossenschaft was building their solutions mainly with external partners. Two years ago, we started to build up the full SW engineering competence inhouse. We are now a team of around 40 employees in the Zurich area to develop new SW products. In a way we are like a startup inside a traditional, stable, financially sound company. This means we still have to improve and mature, but we are doing it in a professional, modern way and we like to get better every day. Such an environment requires from the candidate the willingness/eagerness to improve and optimize the collaboration and processes continuously.

Java Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer (m/w)

Pensum: 80–100%

Start: immediately or by appointment

Duration: unlimited

Location: Zurich area (Urdorf, Wallisellen)

Main tasks:

• Solution architecture and implementation of applications and services.
• Close collaboration with Product Owner and Scrum Master
• Guide, mentor and coach developers of the team. Team size is +/- 5 developers
• Participation in the definition of technology and tool stacks to be used for new solutions

Requirements:

• Strong and proven development and leadership skills
• Love to interact and communicate with engineers
• Code design affinity. Familiarity with key architecture and design principles
• High code quality
• Analytical mindset with fast comprehension
• At least 10 years of experience in software engineering
• Experience in Java 8/14, SpringBoot, REST with OpenAPI,
• English is required
• German is a plus
• French is a plus
