The Bern site, with its approx. 600 people of over 25 nationalities, acts as a center of expertise for development and manufacturing of innovative cell based viral- and bacterial vaccines and bacterial based therapeutic products.Main Responsibilities
  • Monitoring material availability in SAP and place Purchase Orders to replenish stocks.
  • Follow-up on open Purchase Orders and ensure Delivery Dates are confirmed and up to date in SAP system.
  • Ensuring timely Goods Receipts and closure of Purchase Orders
  • Analysing product demand and forecasts
  • Monitoring material availability though MRP controlling.
  • Optimizes supply strategies for externally procured material
  • Establishing effective communication with various groups such as Production, Material Science, Product Development, Quality Assurance and Quality Control and coordinating all activities to receive, release and deliver the material on time to production areas.
  • Maintaining procurement data such as lead times, prices and Purchasing Inforecords up to date
  • Troubleshooting discrepancies regarding purchase orders, deliveries, prices and quality and escalating supply issues when necessary.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Commercial or University degree
  • Good communication and negotiation skills in English
  • Work experience in Procurement/Supply Chain Management
  • Customer focused. Results and performance driven
  • Demonstrates problem solving and analytical Capabilities
  • Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
