AstraZeneca’s near-term focus is supporting the global response to end the ongoing pandemic and scientific and medical experts believe COVID-19 will continue to circulate, even after the pandemic ends. Therefore, AstraZeneca is building the capabilities to continue developing, manufacturing, and delivering innovative options to control COVID-19. These builds include a robust global commercial

capability to ensure broad access and use of AstraZeneca’s prevention and treatment options across a variety of infectious diseases.



What you’ll do

In this role you will be responsible for all commercial, customer related activities in Infectious Diseases in your region, including promotional brand activities, product related physician and healthcare professional education. You will coordinate the activities with and for the key customers of the region within and across a cross-functional team, integrating input from Marketing, Medical and Market Access. We are looking for candidates who live customer service and patient orientation and are able to orchestrate their activities across multiple channels based on customer preference and business needs. You are a doer and leverage deep customer and patient insights to ensure our patient centric approach. You can integrate business insights and numbers from excel sheets together with your intuition and customer knowledge into winning strategies and tactics.



Other responsibilities include:

  • Acquiring and leveraging a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Understand collaborative HCP networks and become a trusted partner and advisor
  • Expand existing and develop new relationships with key customers by continuously offering solutions that meet their needs and objectives
  • Utilize marketing and medical assets and campaigns for your customer engagement plans in digital and F2F communication
  • Capture and analyse local and regional needs and collaborate with other field functions and in-office colleagues to develop and offer suitable solutions and information materials
  • Develops ideas in co-operation with customers and execute customer facing projects that add-value to patient care and improve treatment pathways



Essential for the role

  • Demonstrated pharma sales and/or marketing experience
  • Prior therapy area experience desired (infectious diseases and/or vaccines)
  • Good strategic and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with different commercial and digital channels
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge in market ethical rules
  • Excellent knowledge in French, English and German skills are a plus.
  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent, e.g. in Business Administration
  • You see omnichannel as a chance, not a buzzword.
