Our client is a small and dynamic commodity trading company headquartered in Zug. We are presently recruiting an

Accountant (50-80%)

Your chance of working independently in a small team of only 12 professionals, reporting directly to the CFO.

Tasks
  • all day to day booking matters of the company in close cooperation with Trading, Treasury and Operations
  • manage the A/P and A/R and lists of provisions and accruals in close cooperation with Trading, Treasury and Trading
  • deal with all VAT-matters of the company, including submitting VAT declarations to authorities, check invoices for European VAT and reconcile with all European VAT consultants,
  • reconcile the monthly result with Trading/Operations and prepare the month end accounts (inclusive of trial balance, cashflow statement and P/L) as basis for the management reporting
  • prepare the annual accounts (inclusive of trial balance, cashflow statement and P/L) as basis for the annual statutory audit done by the external auditors
  • prepare the translation of the accounts for IFRS-consolidated accounts

Professional Experience
  • accountant background, gained in multi-year practical experience, preferably in a trading company
  • good command of the English language, both in writing and speaking

Personal Profile
  • friendly and open personality
  • you should like to work in a small international team
  • part-time engagement: 50-80%, split over 3-5 days/week
